1 universe,9 planets,204 countries,809 islands,7 seas and i got the privilege to meet "You"...!!

Our friendship is a big part of what made me who I am now. I know it sounds cheesy, but it’s true. When we first became friends, I clung on to that friendship with a death grip.

Some people come into our lives and barely leave a trace, others leave a string of footprints etched upon our hearts, letting us know they are with us every step we take.

You, my friend, have been stamping all over my heart since the day we met. 4 years ago, i just asked you, "I wanted to be your friend". There wasn’t a moment of hesitance in my decision like, you are going to be my friend for life.We became friends and with a smile on your cherub-like face, you felt like a protective wing for me where i can rely upon everything in life.

As the days passed by, my love for you grew profusely. You weren’t just a friend, you were the sister I never had,and the reason my days were filled with happiness, love and laughter. Even when the sun stopped shining, we’d get out there, splash in the deepest of puddles and make light of any situation life threw our way over us. Because together we were stronger, braver and damn right invincible!

How shall I ever prove what my heart is to you...?
How will you ever see it as I feel it..... ?

It is absolutely necessary for me to obtain an answer, having been for above a 4+ year stricken with the dart of friendship, and not yet sure whether I shall fail of finding a place in your heart again.

We were best friends, but i feel us like drifting apart..We hardly talk any more and you ignore me in every chance you get.I want to be heard again, but most of all i want to talk to you. Don't i atleast deserve to be your friend...?

"I’m sorry" may not mean that much to you, but it means a lifetime of our relationship to me ! Please forgive me .Once in awhile, like today, I meditate on it and realize how lucky I am to share my life with the greatest person I ever met...!

Oh, where do I begin? Honey, you're great. You're more than great, you are wonderful. And we've had some really good times together, some good laughs, funny moments and touching memories. But there's something missing. We just don't communicate like we used to. Heck, here I am writing this to you instead of just speaking to you in person, what does that say about us? Look, no one did anything wrong, it obviously just wasn't meant to be. So let's skip the blame and let me just express my sincere apologies and appreciation to you.

I admire you for your sense of confidence and self esteem. You always seem so cool and in control and I look at you in Awe. You are more intelligent than anyone I know and it goes beyond the normal book smarts..!! You have real world common sense. You understand the world and people and always know the right thing to do.You are such a good and beautiful person.

Life, sometimes it pulls the rug from under our feet. Suddenly, we find ourselves broken and unable to get back up. When I thought all hope had gone, you were always there to sweep me off of my feet, dust me down and tell me everything is going to be okay. When everyone else had left me, you were the only one still cheering and giving me that little piece of hope to carry on.

That’s what real friends do. They are the glue that holds us together when we feel like we are falling apart. They are the anchor to keep us grounded when life has a tendency to blow us away. They are the wind beneath our wings, keeping us going when we feel like giving up.

I know it hasn’t been the same “us” after college. You went miles away from me. I thought we’re going to be fine. I was optimistic about it. But it didn’t turn out like that, did it? We had fights about things and said stuffs we weren’t supposed to say. There were months that I haven’t heard anything from you. I’ve met other people and made friends as you did. Those made gaps. Gaps that are hard to fill in. But you know what? In case you don’t know, after all this time, you’re still my first priority,my only lovable best friend. "I love you Akka"..!!

I miss you. I miss texting you about every single stupid thing that happens in my life. I miss the way people would ask me where you were when you weren’t with me because it was a known fact that we were a packaged deal. I miss laughing with you and all of our inside jokes. I miss sending you greetings and texting you even from the bathroom. I miss looking over at you and knowing exactly what you are thinking. I miss your family and the way you used to fill me in your/their daily happenings. I miss knowing that at the end of the day I had you, that when push came to shove, no matter how bad the situation might be, I knew you would be there. I miss U my friend, Miss you hell a lot.!

I hate that our conversations that once used to be so natural and seemingly endless are now filled with awkward silences and formal "how-do-you-dos." I hate that your face, the face I was so accustomed to seeing every single day, has become just another one in the crowd. I hate that we can now go days at a time without speaking to each other and that most of our conversations now start with “I feel like I haven’t talked to you in forever!”.

I'm mad at us for letting our friendship become this far gone. What happened? How did i not see this coming? How did i not feel ourselves starting to drift? I am feeling really screwed for not fighting harder for the friendship that we had. It wasn’t like most friendships. It was the kind of friendship that neither of us could have anticipated coming to an end. It was us against the world, and now it is nothing. I am mad for letting it become nothing but a collection of memories.

I am sad because I don’t even know where to go from here. I don’t know what there is to be said. Nothing really happened to make it change, so how do i fix it? How do I make this horrible yearning for you go away? How do I shake the dreadful feeling of knowing that you are no longer just a phone call away? How do i find a way to fall back together just as easily as we fell apart?

I am scared that it cannot be fixed and that maybe we weren’t supposed to be forever. I am scared that from here on out, you will not be a part of my life. But what I’m most scared of is that, you don’t even care at all. I am scared that maybe you haven’t noticed my absence in your life or that maybe you have, but it just doesn’t matter to you. I am scared that you have already replaced me. I am scared that you don’t look back on our friendship as fondly as I do. I’m scared that our lack of a future doesn’t hurt you just as badly as it hurts me. I’m scared that you don’t miss me as much as I miss you.

I will never give up hope that i will find my way back to patch up, no matter how unlikely that now seems. I will never stop caring about you and wishing you well in life. I will silently smile from a distant sideline as you win more accolades in life. You will always hold a special place in my heart even though I may no longer hold one in yours. I will never stop looking back on our friendship fondly and will always only have kind things to say.

Thank you for being a true friend. For allowing me to share my life instances and keep hearing me saying "I Love You", "XoXo","I Miss You" a zillion times,For letting me pour my heart out, for listening and for not just telling me what I want to hear. Thank you for loving me when no one else would. Thank you for staying constant in a world full of change and chaos. And thank you for just being there when I need you..!! Thanks a ton..!!

It’s hard to put it into words just how much you mean to me, because words will never be enough for me. I know my life wouldn’t be the same without you. We have walked so far, laughed so hard.We have climbed each other’s highest peaks, and travelled through the brightest of valleys. With you by my side the world is a better place. the sun shines a little bit brighter, my smile grows a little bit wider, and in that moment, my problems are no more. You are the most beautiful person, inside and out. You are selfless, compassionate and wise beyond your years. I truly believe I hit friendship gold when you entered into my life and filled my days with laughter, happy tears and enchantment.

Thank you for being my beautiful friend, Lucky mascot,my telepathic pal,my personal life coach, My Barbie Girl and so much more. Thank you for all the glorious memories, wrapped up in a bow of nostalgia, so beautiful it brings a tear to my eye.A special thanks for hooking up a chat with me until the cows came home, milked into a thousand saucers, and said ‘Screw this, I’m going to bed!’.

I know it's cliche but I hope that we can still be friends in some capacity. I hope that we can put our differences aside and still root one another on as we continue to travel on this crazy life journey. If not, I understand. I can't say I'll agree or be okay with it at first but I will respect your decision. Thank you again for everything you have given me.There will always be a special place in my heart for you.

And no matter how much distance is between us, no matter how many days, weeks and months we haven’t spoken to each other till date, I m ready to pick up from where we left.I don’t know what the future holds for me, but I do know one thing is for certain, "I will never find another friend like the friend I found in you".I miss you more than you could ever possibly know.

My beautiful friend, what more can I say? In 50 years from now,I m still ready to crave, try, struggle to be your old loving, caring, stupid friend.Love you to the moon and back.

This post is not to insist the traffic rules to be followed, but if you are driving in Vellore then you must follow these rules strictly. I am a chennaite  but  I have scaled every street in the Vellore city with my cycle, scooty and car. Earlier in my school days I used to commute in a 2 wheeler and have used it such that if it had a mouth it would have reproached me terribly. I consider myself to be an expert in driving especially in Vellore. Now here are the rules.

If you are driving in a particular lane ,
look for vehicles coming into your lane in the opposite direction.
You are supposed to give way for this vehicle first otherwise it would ram on your vehicle.

Your vehicle horn is just a toy, play with it liberally;
it doesn’t account for a crime or bad behavior coz nobody is going to care for it.
Try to bring out the AR Rahman in you.
(I always used to play the tune of my current favorite song)

Never drive in either side of buses, the inhabitants of the bus would spit or throw
anything at you at anytime.
(I have experienced this several times)

Watch out for people, vehicles, and cattle to suddenly appear from nowhere,
you see, this is not your dad’s road...!

Never drive behind a government bus coz god only knows
when it would puke black smoke.
Believe me one of my dresses is now in grey color
which was in pure white when I bought it.

Never drive behind a private bus coz
god only knows when the bundle from its top hauler will fall on you.

Only if you see a traffic constable you should stop at a signal otherwise
carry on, don’t bother about the signals
they are just colors changing once in a while to entertain you.

When you are driving if you notice the person driving ahead of you turning either to his right/left
it means that the person is going to change the lane.
This is a very important rule coz,
I have seen every person following this strictly in vellore.
Now don’t ask me whether I follow this or not.

If the person driving ahead of you is using a ‘Right indicator’
then it means he is going to turn to his left and vice versa.

If you notice the indicator lights blinking all the way,
then you are wrong they are fancy lights and not indicator lights.

Never drive behind/either side/in front of an auto,
it is highly dangerous and lethal too.
For more info on this rule,
I invite the readers to come to vellore and have a thrilling experience watching it.
Sure your adrenalin levels will pump up.
The pet name we have given for autos is  Lord Yama’s vehicle.

Never drive behind a 40+ aunty;
you will reach your destination only after 2 days irrespective of the distance
as the speed you drive would be 10 kmph.

Be careful when you drive in and around the theaters.
Men would all the way watch the cinema poster and slam into your vehicle.
Experienced this when the movie ‘Aiyya’ was released,
a guy on watching the poster rammed into my vehicle.
Now it is left to the reader’s imagination how I scolded him.

Only in vellore you can find people getting down from car in the middle of the busiest road.
Watch out for this when you drive.

There is nothing like following a particular lane,
wherever there is space you can utilize it.

If you see your friends or relatives while driving please stop there,
have a nice chat with them; don’t worry about the honking sound from behind.

When you drive in vellore you never get to know the maximum speed limit of your vehicle
so better do some simulation kind of thing and know it.

Never go near a lorry/truck, its honking sound would bring a heart attack to you.

Today if you drive in a two way road don’t be surprised
if it is a one way the very next day.

If the elections are around the corner then I bet you will not travel in the usual route
coz any road would be blocked to put up a stage.
So better have some alternate routes.

One big advantage if you drive in vellore is that,
you can drive in any place under the sun, under any circumstance.
Don’t know about the rules in other cities as I don’t have any experience driving over
there but I am sure I would drive well, as I am a vellorian..!!

One of the most important things any person in a public domain is told is to watch this and watch that. I mean, everyone has phones with a video recording facility. And there are twerps who install cameras in restrooms and upload them on YouTube.

And also, I learn that the fundamental right to expression and speech really doesnt exist, more so for people who everyone watches. But true nonetheless for everyone. You cannot freely discuss something for the sake of argument/learning wondering if it would hurt some said sentiment somewhere.

Sometimes I ReTweet a link so that people (whoever is interested) could read an opinion about something. Now depending on sensitivity or perceived sensitivity, I would immediately get warnings, be careful, or you'll be trolled. Now I think I could have a masters degree on being trolled. Its amazing how uneducated people are inspite of their NRI status.
Nonetheless I am just thinking/realizing that there really isn't anything called freedom of speech.  Not with your friends/family. One will only have freedom of thought. You can think whatever you want. We just need to watch how we (if we do at all) verbalize it into words.

Lifetimes are spent, without expressing what we want to. We fade in. And we fade out.

And maybe even the concept of freedom is imaginary. Unless and until one is a realized soul. Only they have the good fortune after hours of practice, to be truly free.

For most where self-realization is not achieved, life perhaps passes by and is lived, with the mute button on, in most cases.

Next step in life-------------- (yet to decide wat to proceed with.....)

Life sometimes may really suck to the core. Maybe since the day you were born you had the suckiest life though sometimes it does not suck so much in between but generally it may have been real sucky. Once you get to accept the truth you know why such things happened that way. But what if people cannot accept the truth about you. What do you do? Accept the humiliation with over sportiveness when you do not deserve any. HaHa. That is the truth. Accept it because there is a sure chance you are gonna shine or at least glimmer more than your opponent one day. As long there is hope there is a chance and you sure will have a chance to get back to what you totally deserved.

Once upon a time, There was a guy who was very much in love with a girl. This romantic guy folded 1,000 pieces of papercranes as a gift to his girl. Although, at that time he was just a small executive in his company, his future doesn’t seemed too bright, they were very happy together. Until one day, his girl told him she was going to Paris and will never come back. She also told him that she cannot visualise any future for the both of them, so let’s go their own ways there and then… heartbroken, the guy agreed.

When he regained his confidence, he worked hard day and night, slogging his body and mind just to make something out of himself. Finally with all these hardwork n with the help of friends, this guy had set up his own company… "U never fail until u stop trying" He always told himself. "I must make it in life!"

One rainy day, while this guy was driving, he saw an elderly couple sharing an umbrella in the rain walking to some destination. Even with the umbrella, they were still drenched. It didn’t take him long to realise those were his ex-girlfriend’s parents. With a heart in getting back at them, he drove slowly beside the couple, wanting them to spot him in his luxury sedan.

He wanted them to know that he wasn’t the same anymore, he had his own company, car, condo, etc. He had made it in life!! Before the guy can realise, the couple was walking towards a cemetary, and he got out of his car and followed them…and he saw his ex-girlfriend, a photograph of her smiling sweetly as ever at him from her tombstone… and he saw his precious papercranes in a bottle placed beside her tomb. Her parents saw him. He walked overand asked them why this had happened. They explained, she did not leave for France at all. She was stricken ill with cancer. In her heart, she had believed that he will make it someday, but she did not want her illness to be his obstacle…therefore she had chosen to leave him. She had wanted her parents to put his papercranes beside her, because, if the day comes when fate brings him to her again he can take some of those back with him. The guy just wept … The worst way to miss someone is to be sitting right beside them but knowing you can’t have them and will never see them again.

The End Lesson To Learn:-) A tragic story that perhaps happens only in the movies. At the end of the day, money is money, but love is divine. In our quest for our material wealth, take time to make time for our loved ones. There will be a time when we have only memories to cling to. Every Weekend Or Whenever U In Leave. Give Time To Your Loved Ones And Show Your Love How Much U Care For Them And Their Importance In Your Life.

A little boy loved to come and play around it everyday. He climbed to the tree top, ate the apples, took a nap under the shadow... He loved the tree and the tree loved to play with him. Time went by... the little boy had grown up and he no longer played around the tree everyday.

One day, the boy came back to the tree and he looked sad. "Come and play with me," the tree asked the boy. I am no longer a kid, I don't play around trees anymore." The boy replied, "I want toys. I need money to buy them." Sorry, but I don't have money... but you can pick all my apples and sell them. So, you will have money." The boy was so excited. He grabbed all the apples on the tree and left happily. The boy never came back after he picked that apples. The tree was sad.

One day, the boy returned and the tree was soexcited. "Come and play with me" the tree said. "I don't have time to play. I have to work for my family. We need a house for shelter. Can you help me?" "Sorry, but I don't have a house. But you can chop off my branches to build your house." So the boy cut all the branches of the tree and left happily. The tree was glad to see him happy but the boy never came back since then. The tree was again lonely and sad.

One hot summer day, the boy returned and the tree was delighted. "Come and play with me!" the tree said. I am sad and getting old. I want to go sailing to relax myself. Can you give me a boat?" "Use my truck to build your boat. You can sail far away and be happy." So the boy cut the tree truck to make a boat. He went sailing and never showed up for a long time.
Finally, the boy returned after he left for so many years. "Sorry, my boy. But I don't have anything for you anymore. No more apples for you... "the tree said.

"I don't have teeth to bite" the boy replied. "No more truck for you to climb on" "I am too old for that now" the boy said. "I really can't give you anything ... the only thingleft is my dying roots" the tree said with tears. "I don't need much now, just a place to rest. I am tired after all these years." The boy replied. "Good! Old tree roots is the best place to lean on and rest. Come, Come sit down with me and rest."
The boy sat down and the tree was glad and smiled with tears....... This is a story of everyone. The tree is our parent. When we were young, we loved to play with Mom and Dad... When we grown up, we left them... only came to them when we need something or when we are in trouble.

No matter what, parents will always be there and give everything they could to make you happy. You may think the boy is cruel to the tree but that's how all of us are treating our parent. Love your parents..!
Lady: Why do u like me?why are you coming behind me..? Why do u love me?
Man : Hmm..I can't tell the reason... But I really like u...
Lady: U can't even tell me the reason... How can u say u like me? How can u say u love me???
Man : I really don't know the reason, but I can prove that I love u...!
Lady: Proof... ? No..! I want u to tell me the reason. My friend's boyfriend can tell her why he loves her, but not u..?
Man : OK...OK !!! Hmmm...because u are beautiful, because your voice is sweet, because u are caring, because u are loving, because u are thoughtful, because of your smile, because of your every movements "I LOVE YOU..!"

Unfortunately, a few days later, the Lady met with an accident and became comma. The Guy then placed a letter by her side, and here is the content :

Dearest,
Because of your sweet voice that I love u means...,Now can u talk??  No...! Therefore I cannot love u...!
Because of your care and concern then I like u means ..., Now u cannot show them... therefore I cannot love u..!
Because of your smile, because of your every movements that I love u means...,
Now can u smile???  Now can u move???  No, therefore I cannot love u...!

If love needs a reason, like now, there is no reason for me to love u anymore. Do love need a reason??
NO....! I love everything of you..! Therefore, I still love u... And love doesn't need a reason...!

"When loving someone..., never regret what u do... only regret what u didn't do"
If God brings u to it...He will bring u through it...!!

1.The story began when I was a child;
I was born as a son of a poor family.
Even for eating, we often got lack of food.
Whenever the time for eating, mother often gave me her portion of rice.
While she was removing her rice into my bowl,
she would say “Eat this rice, son. I’m not hungry”.
That was Mother’s First Lie

2.When I was getting to grow up,
the persevering mother gave her spare time for fishing in a river near our house,
she hoped that from the fishes she got,
she could gave me a little bit nutritious food for my growth.
After fishing, she would cook the fishes to be a fresh fish soup,
which raised my appetite. While I was eating the soup,
mother would sit beside me and eat the rest meat of fish,
which was still on the bone of the fish I ate.
My heart was touched when I saw it.
I then used my chopstick and gave the other fish to her.
But she immediately refused it and said “Eat this fish, son.
I don’t really like fish.”
That was Mother’s Second Lie.

3.Then, when I was in Junior High School,
to fund my study,
mother went to an economic enterprise to bring some used-matches boxes that would be stuck in.
It gave her some money for covering our needs.
As the winter came,
I woke up from my sleep and looked at my mother who was still awoke,
supported by a little candlelight and within her perseverance she continued
the work of sticking some used-matches box.
I said, “Mother, go to sleep, it’s late,
tomorrow morning you still have to go for work.
” Mother smiled and said “Go to sleep,
dear. I’m not tired.”
That was Mother’s Third Lie.
4.At the time of final term,
mother asked for a leave from her work in order to accompany me.
While the daytime was coming and the heat of the sun was starting to shine,
the strong and persevering mother
waited for me under the heat of the sun’s shine for several hours.
As the bell rang, which indicated that the final exam had finished,
mother immediately welcomed me and poured me a glass of tea
that she had prepared before in a cold bottle.
The very thick tea was not as thick as my mother’s love,
which was much thicker. Seeing my mother covering with perspiration,
I at once gave her my glass and asked her to drink too.
Mother said “Drink, son. I’m not thirsty!”.
That was Mother’s Fourth Lie.
5. After the death of my father because of illness,
my poor mother had to play her role as a single parent.
By held on her former job, she had to fund our needs alone.
Our family’s life was more complicated. No days without sufferance.
Seeing our family’s condition that was getting worse,
there was a nice uncle who lived near my house came to help us,
either in a big problem and a small problem.
Our other neighbors who lived next to us saw that our family’s life was so unfortunate,
they often advised my mother to marry again. But mother,
who was stubborn, didn’t care to their advice,
she said “I don’t need love.”
That was Mother’s Fifth Lie.
6.After I had finished my study and then got a job,
it was the time for my old mother to retire.
But she didn’t want to; she was sincere to go to the marketplace every morning,
just to sell some vegetable for fulfilling her needs.
I, who worked in the other city, often sent her some money to help her in fulfilling her needs,
but she was stubborn for not accepting the money.
She even sent the money back to me.
She said “I have enough money.”
That was Mother’s Sixth Lie.
7.After graduated from Bachelor Degree,
I then continued my study to Master Degree.
I took the degree, which was funded by a company through a scholarship program,
from a famous University in America .
I finally worked in the company. Within a quite high salary,
I intended to take my mother to enjoy her life in America .
But my lovely mother didn’t want to bother her son,
she said to me “I’m not used to.”
That was Mother’s Seventh Lie.
8.After entering her old age,
mother got a flank cancer and had to be hospitalized.
I, who lived in miles away and across the ocean,
directly went home to visit my dearest mother.
She lied down in weakness on her bed after having an operation.
Mother, who looked so old, was staring at me in deep yearn.
She tried to spread her smile on her face;
even it looked so stiff because of the disease she held out.
It was clear enough to see how the disease broke my mother’s body,
thus she looked so weak and thin.
I stared at my mother within tears flowing on my face.
My heart was hurt, so hurt, seeing my mother on that condition.
But mother, with her strength, said “Don’t cry, my dear.
I’m not in pain.”
That was Mother’s Eight Lie.

After saying her eighth lie, She closed her eyes forever!
